The same crash occurs when starting the installer with Wine-1.0.1, 1.2.3 etc. I can't reproduce the crash with the demo version of the game. The full game exhibiting the problem was obtained via Gamersgate digital distribution service. Installation went without issues on a Win XP SP3 guest (running under Virtualbox). The installer works just fine. What makes me suspicious of this is that the crash occurred at such an early stage (+relay log was barely 11 Kbytes in size).
