Steps to reproduce: 1. winetricks ie8 2. Start IE and open a new tab 3. Enter the quick tabs page with ctrl+Q or the button to the left of the tab bar The first tab should be WineHQ's homepage, which shows two issues in the preview: 1. The Google custom search bar is corrupted 2. The about and download links have some extra images added to the left, along with their usual icons After switching back to that tab, the Google search bar actually becomes corrupted as it was in the preview, but the extra images are not there. Confirming in wine-1.6-rc5 although native gdiplus stops any of the previews from displaying.
'winetricks windowscodecs' got the previews working for me with native gdiplus again. With wine-1.9.6-66-g329dfee, I don't see any difference in the tab previews with native gdiplus (plus windowscodecs) compared to the builtin one. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
