In my audio work, I use Guitar Pro 8 and Reaper (currently I tried both 7.78
and 7.80, Windows version through Wine). If I open only one of the two
programs, everything works fine. However, if I open both programs at the same
time, mouse clicks behave erratically - my assumption is that my left mouse
button clicks are either treated as double clicks or some modifier key is
interpreted as pressed.

This has not always been the case, I used both programs at the same time during
an entire album's worth of recording without issue - but I don't recall the
exact Reaper version in use back then, nor the Wine version.

I attached a video of the behaviour, you see reaper open on the left, guitar
pro open on the right. All I do on the guitar pro side is single left mouse
button clicks. While both are open, it selects entire bars. I close Reaper at
some point and then do more single left mouse button clicks - now you see it
sets the "cursor" of guitar pro to where I am clicking (the correct behaviour).

If I were to click the menu bar ("File") in guitar pro, the menu would not open
or sometimes flicker open for a short time. Holding left mouse button down does
not change anything.
If doing the same in reaper, it opens and immediately closes again. If holding
down the left mouse button, it stays open.
