[Bug 9148] Wine can't seem to cerate any K-Menu entries.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9148 mdirk(a)sympatico.ca changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |UNCONFIRMED Resolution|INVALID | ------- Additional Comments From mdirk(a)sympatico.ca 2007-04-08 17:47 ------- I'm sorry. For the past few days, we in Montreal have had such a heatwave, that it would have been dangerous for me even to start up my main computer. For that reason, I could not read the message connected to your decisions, and found it hard to guess their logic. Thus, I also didn't know that you had posed me any questions. In your first response, you told me in writing, that you wanted me to edit the K-Menu manually, before submitting my files. This is the reason for which the K-Menu entries were present. But how am I supposed to guess, that you would forget what your instructions to me were just 2 days earlier, when I already submitted the information to you, that WINE correctly creates those menus on my Kanotix 2006-RC4 Laptop, but not on my Kanotix 2006-RC4 server. My only explanation for this, is the fact that on the v0.9.40 install on my server, I had tried to uninstall the Arasan Chess program, without knowing how to do that properly. While on the Laptop (v0.9.40) I had never tried to rip the first program out, which I had installed. This is the main reason for which I think that the v0.9.42 WINE reinstallation now on my server may be working properly, since I never reinstalled a chess program that can't be uninstalled. The second reason is the fact that you forgot that the K-menu entries were persent, because you had told me to edit them in. I have Adobe Acro Reader 5.0.5 insalled on my v0.9.42 server, for which there is still no K-Menu entry, but for which there is a desktop icon. How do you explain this?
