[Bug 7870] Armed Assault (ArmA - European) gives blank error messages and doesn't install

This bug is possibly invalid. Running the setup.exe gives the same result as
discussed here. But running the autostart.exe and click on "Install", everything
works fine.
Maybe someone could check if on windows the same behavior appear?
