It started with wine setup. The MD5 sum of setup.exe in this image matches the one reported for the CD-ROM in comment 5. If needed i can provide the download link. Test was done with Wine 11.6 on Ubuntu Mate 24.04 running on VMWare. I was able to run installer by skipping hardware tests. During installation there were two error messages shown. Title: _SETUP Msg: WinExec of Setup32.EXE failed. Both seems to be triggered when installer made this call. Call KERNEL.166: WINEXEC(Call ucrtbase.strlen(00bcd89d "etup32.exe F:\\SIERRA.INF A") ret=78b3d706 At the end installer informed that installation was complete. After installation when game is started a window briefly blinks on screen. Nothing was printed to console. setup.exe info:
