Furthermore, in general Fable is more brittle with 1.1.17 than 1.1.10. Finally, I compiled 1.1.17 from git and the backtrace shows Fable dying exactly at the same point as with 1.1.11. The code requires too much dx and gl know-how for me to be able to work properly on it.
