About window

On Resourcr Hacker, if you go to to Help → About, you get a window with an
animated logo, but its background is black, when it should be the same color as
the window backhround.
Using the Resource Hacker itself you can find out that the logo is an animated
GIF.

The bug could have appeared on the newer Resource Hacker version (3.6.0.92),
but I tried it with an older version (3.4.0.79) and the bugs appear there too.

Cannot reproduce in either 3.4 or 3.6. Animation also works in both versions.

No, with 32 bit wine only (you didn't mention using 64 bit wine)

I can't reproduce in git. Tested wine32, wine64, x86 and x86_64 (kernel 3.2).

The platform doesn't mean the type of wine used but 'The hardware platform the
bug was observed on'.

You don't need a wine 64 bits if you only run 32 bit windows apps BTW.

That wine version seems wrong (most likely a local branch).

Please try with current tip (wine-1.4-rc5-84-g973f62f)

This is fixed in wine 1.5.23. If anyone is still able to reproduce feel free to
reopen.
