And vb5cce is free to download: http://www.thevbzone.com/vbcce.htm I am surprised how well it work, yet I can confirm the described bug. The automatically appearing dynamic tooltip crashes wine. I will attach a log. Installing native 'comctl32', 'riched20' and 'riched30' did solve the problem!
