Black, write, blue on screenshot. OpenGL and DirectX. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.15 or newer) wine?
In opengl mode, you will see it more often in later versions of the game, and in recent wine with d3d9 mode (which is working quite well) it doesn't seem to happen. Can somebody test this game with Windows system and OpenGL mode? If game is really has broken OpenGL, I'll close this bug. I did, a long time ago. It had major problems, like missing (invisible) entities. First level, ladder going up is invisible. Didn't need to test any further.
I was able to reproduce that same bug (didnt bother posting a screenshot) on my linux machine. It happens when the lighting quality it set to very high on later (or perhaps all) versions of the game. Out of the box d3d9 is seemingly perfect with everything in the menu turned up. The OpenGL in FarCry/CryEngine1 was sadly under-developed. OpenGL. OpenGL renderer is broken in this game. Do not report any bugs to Wine when using FarCry's OpenGL renderer.
