Reproduced with nouveau/mesa git and nvidia binary drivers 340.76 too. Disabling in-game anti aliasing, changing graphical detail level or disabling GLSL doesn't make it better. The problem can be reproduced in the demo version too. Install and start the demo, then launch any of the available missions to observe the issue. But I googled DF24 texture format and the wiki said that it can also include stencil depth then I googled what that means. And it gave short example about setting some value 1 or 0 and after that it said its often used to shadows on 3d rendering. This is not the only game that wine is lacking shadows.
