I receive the following exception every time I try to launch the installer: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address (nil) (thread 000c) See the attached text file for full trace information. This exception occurs immediately after launching 'wine setup', 'wine c:\\quickeninst\\disk1\\setup.exe', and from the CD. I installed Wine from the package manager. I have completely removed Wine as well as the .wine directory. Attempts to reinstall give me the same unhandled page fault. This machine is a brand new Ubuntu installation. I have tried installing from the CD as well as a local directory with all the disk images separated into folders. I have spent many hours over the past several days searching through pages of how-tos and bug reports, but have not found anything similar. Based on some of these pages, I got the impression that IE needed to be installed. After not finding IE information through winehq, I installed ies4linux. Quicken still returned the unhandled page fault. I have tried winecfg to change the windows version to xp and 98. Since I am not an expert Wine user, it is possible that Wine is not configured correctly. However, from all the how-tos and forums, I can't find anything that could be a problem.
