A debugger has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory and restart your program.
DCS_updater.exe works flawlessly with Debian Trixie's packaged version wine-10.0 (Debian 10.0~repack-6). This sounds exactly like Bug 58043. Can you try switching to Wine Staging and setting the Windows version to Windows 11 in winecfg?
I tried and can confirm Wine Staging 10.20 does fix it. Comment #9 in Bug 58043 also tried that with v10.12: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58043#c9 Setting Windows 11 is not necessary. Works after both winecfg /v win10 and winecfg /v win11. Should anyone try, note that when it works, DCS_updater.exe will fail with the following error message box:
Cannot detect the install directory.
