After upgrade to 1.7.23 version I've found that particular game became
unplayable - very sluggish reaction on any input action, graphics renders and
draw slowly. 

This regression was introduced between 1.7.13 and 1.7.14 versions. The
particular patch that introduced this regression is:

This sounds like it's likely to be a duplicate of bug 35718. Do the patches
there help?
