Using WIN32 DLL from Unix library

Hello, I'd like create a unix shared library that will make some call to a WIN32 DLL using wine. Is this possible, and if it is so, where may I find some documentation pointers on how to achieve this ? Tnx, Vittorio

I think this patch shouldn't be applied. Today I was playing with some winxp apps that spit out a lot of unimplemented stuff. I found the following undocumented function: GdiGradientFill. After some searching on google I found some info about a function that looks a lot like it (brother or sister). This is the prototype as it can be used from good old VB: Declare Function GdiGradientFillRect Lib "gdi32" Alias "GdiGradientFill" (ByVal hdc As Long, pVertex As TRIVERTEX, ByVal dwNumVertex As Long, pMesh As GRADIENT_RECT, ByVal dwNumMesh As Long, ByVal dwMode As Long) As Long compare with: BOOL WINAPI GradientFill( HDC hdc, TRIVERTEX *vert_array, ULONG nvert, void * grad_array, ULONG ngrad, ULONG mode ) Mike Hearn and I assume that GdiGradientFill and GradientFill are the same. The one redirects to the other. Creating circular dependecies isn't a good problem I think. So I think this code should be moved to gdi32 and that msimg32 forwards it. I thought that the program that start.exe is trying to run is not found. :) What should I do to get the wine to find start.exe? I noticed that Wine looks for some registry entries for start location. The new WineHW site looks great. But the dashes appearing in elinks make it soooo ugly. When you remove alt="-" parameter from <img> tag they ... disappear! :) -- Michal Miroslaw PS. Why don't you use ' ' instead of '<img src=blank.gif ...>' ?

Wine and Glibc 2.3.2

Hi, I know there are/were glibc 2.3x problems and wine. My system is running Debian Unstable. I'm trying to help the mono guys a bit with Windows.Forms. Because of some bugs in the glibc 2.3.1-16 version debian is using, the winelib based app needed by mono didn't work. (dlopen related problems) I upgraded my glibc to 2.3.2-1 using the packages that will move into Debian soon. I recompiled my wine (latest from cvs) and wine itself runs. (still the /tmp problems ..) Compared to other distributions which use 2.3.2 debian isn't using nptl. Monostub (the winelib app from mono) and winedbg are not working fine. Is it correct that Wine still isn't compatible with glibc2.3.2 version that are not using nptl?
