Heap APIS

Hi, In windows, there is APIs for Heap management (HeapCreate, HeapAlloc, ...). Are they implememted in wine? How? Is it just stubs on malloc? Or are they *really* implemented and working as secondary heaps? Thanks. -jec

Yet again ... Looking for services ...

Hi, I am trying to develop some win32 code wich would use services, ( ie. I would like to develop some code which could run as a win32 service ). I have been following the wine mailing list, but I am not aware of the status of services in wine and if an implementation is underway ? ( as far as I can tell they are not currently implemented ). All the machinery for the services seem's to be in wine, so I am wondering if there has been any attempts ? / regards, Lars Segerlund.

Francois, If I knew you were going to get into fixing single words that should be separate I would have started on this along time ago ;) - asks for a DLL, Wine does not simulate the existence of - nonexisting files. + asks for a DLL, Wine does not simulate the presence of + non-existent files. Retry (3) - Ole32 Win16/32 Cleanup

Hello All, I have done a new patch that seems to be a little cleaner then the last one. I know its low on the TODO list and may cause problems if others are working on Ole32 so let me know if there is anything else I need to do to incress the chances of getting this merged in. This patch compleates the Win16/32 split for Mingw and ReactOS. 1. split ole2 in to two files. ole2.c contains the Win16 and Win32 interfaces that have the same name while ole2_16.c is of course Win16 only interfaces. 2. Move CLSIDFromProgID16 to compobj.c where CLSIDFromProgID resides. This allows this function to be used internal for other 32bit functions that need it. 3. Now we can compile out ole16.c, storage.c and the new ole2_16.c files. The only minor problem left for us is still in IsAccelerator. At some point once ReactOS can run Ole32 and I have more time I will try my hand at rewriting IsAccelerator/TranslateAccelerator to not call LockResource16. Until then we can just work around it. Just want to add one thing.. The prompt in DOS is defaulted to $p$g (path with greater than sign at the end but can always be changed, even to the current time and date ($t$d) just try it.. prompt Makes no prompt prompt $p Makes prompt the current path prompt $t Makes it current time prompt $p$g Makes it DOS default... So if we want to make wcmd like DOS and Windows Command Prompt, we need to allow setting prompt like that if we dont already, and should set default prompt to DOS's default prompt... Sylvain, how do you make variable content begin with a space in set commands?
