I just upgraded my Debian system (unstable) which runs Notes 5, and it upgraded to wine version 20040121. Notes seems to run, I do not get the error described below but I am getting an odd error with the clipboard. At least it is reported as a clipboard error, it actually occurs when trying to read a multipart MIME document from my mailbox. If I find any error messages I will report them. BTW, I also retried installing Notes 6.5, but the installer still fails with a rather uninformative error saying the installer failed. Again I will look to see if there are any log messages. WINMM problem with Half-Life

Hi Eric, After implementing the ICCVID codec, the intro AVI in Half-Life plays nicely, however when it finishes, WinMM gets stuck in a loop while cleaning up in MCIAVI_mciPlay. I think it's trying to wait for the sound to finish, however I'm not sure how to fix the problem. The patch below makes it work, but I'm not sure what bad side effects it will have... Any ideas? Hi all, I'm going offline in preparations for the flight. As only two people expressed their interest in the party, I'm cancelling the centreally managed party. People are still welcome to do a distributed party. In order to do that, just bring along several copies of your key's fingerprint printed on paper along with your name, and hand them out to anyone willing to sign them. DllOverride for ocx?

Hi I have a ocx which works better with a native dll. But there are also other apps which work worse if this dll is set to native by default. OK, so I add a setting for the application which uses the ocx. Works. But there are many apps that use this ocx and the customer could even make his own. So it would be nice if I could have a dll override setting for just the ocx. Is this technically possible at all? Or is the app-level the only one for overrides? (I know, fixing wine would be even better, but I don't have the time nor the knowledge. )-: But I keep trying whenever I can :) bye Fabi

Hi all, I would liketo know is it possible to port a Malayalam(An Indian Language) keyboard driver written for Windows to Linux using any softwares(emulators). The keyboard driver application could be called using wine. It's running & is found be working partially in the wordpad application called using wine. Is it possible to make it work in Linux editors. I put together the following: http://users.theshell.com/~vinn/wine-history.html There's two major additions I'd like to see and I don't think I'm capable of doing them: 1) Wine history from 1994 - 1999 with a specific emphasis on changes to the architecture, design decisions that got discarded, developers who've come and gone. 2) Specific quotes from over the years. I sort of put some examples of that in the document above. Humorous quotes would be especially nice. If no one has any suggestions then I'll likely just remove the existing ones and add the information to the relevant paragraphs. I'm also thinking of adding a paragraph on the tools and programs developed for Wine.
