Hi, at Wineconf 2005, we've had a quite successful GPG key signing party. Thus, I'd like to volunteer for organizing a GPG keysigning party at Wineconf 2006 as well. Quoting last year's party organizer (Shachar Shemesh), anyone who wishes to participate, please: 1. Have a PGP key. You can generate one for yourself using gpg. 2. Send the PGP (public) key and its finger print to me AT THE VERY LATEST ON TUESDAY 12. Any later then that, and it is not certain that we'll manage to get your key on the printed piece of paper that is necessary for carrying out the party. 3. Bring a copy you can trust to wineconf, to make sure other people are really signing your key (i.e. - that I'm not pulling anybody's leg). 4. Bring an identifying ID to wineconf. Two is preferable. Passport or a driver license in a language people can read. If you can only bring one, a passport is definitely preferable. The full details of what a key signing party is, why are the procedures as they are, and what's so important about *not* signing the keys with your laptop at the party can be found at http://www.cryptnet.net/fdp/crypto/gpg-party.html Note: No aliases on PGP keys. If your PGP key says "lord master of compiler optimization", then your passport had better say the same or no one will be able to sign your key. Also, if you DON'T want the key published to a key server, please let me know well in advance. Obviously, your key will be published to all the people present at the key party. If your name's not there on your email headers, include it in the body. The name must be the same as appears on your formal IDs. The purpose of a pgp signing party is to establish a link between your virtual identity (your key) and your real one (as verified by an ID). For that reason it is impossible to participate by proxy, or under an alias. Cheers David

Hello all, I was very interested in comparing the implementation status of reactos and wine. So I coded a little python script to list all the api that are implemented in reactos AND are only stub in wine. Attached to this mail is the list of identified functions. One may note that most of these functions are in the setupapi dll. This is particularly interesting as the setupapi code is LGPL-licenced in Reactos (and was already part of the audit). I tried to port some of these to Wine, but this requires more knowledge than I have. So, is someone interested to port these functions? Thanks for the helpful replies. I have been working on the Winelib approach suggested by Jeremy. As my first step I wanted to get a windows console application to compile and run anyway. I now have an executable that runs and calls functions in the windows dll, but it does not work correctly. If I run it with winedbg it gives me a backtrace with errors coming from deep inside the dll. I assume there is some problem with the arguments going to the function that serves as the entry to the dll. Is there a way to find out what is getting passed to the dll and/or debugging inside the dll (without source code)? Thanks, Mark

Hi, I've sent in a patch that got some remarks by Juan Lang. The patch is already applied to mmbranch. Most patches sent to wine-patches that have (valid) comments will not be applied by AJ. Should I now resend to make sure it gets applied when AJ is back AND sent a patch to fixup mmbranch. Or will the previous one be reverted and the next applied to mmbranch? Cheers, Paul.

Hello, As setupapi merge from ReactOS has been a recurrent demand [1], I'm doing this set of patches. Note that I'm not especially interested by this merge, but I do it only to please people. I've already spent one day to do them, I don't want to loose more of my time [2]. Note also that I'm not the only one who can provide better patches if those ones don't fullfill requirements. The goal of this set of patches is to set a solid ground to implement lots of missing functions in setupapi. I've tried to cut them in smallest possible parts. Additionnaly, this patchset implements SetupDiEnumDeviceInfo and (mostly) SetupDiGetClassDevsExW Patch 1/6 Move Class related fonctions to their own file devclass.c No code change. Patch 2/6 Forward SetupDiGetClassDevsA/W and SetupDiGetClassDevsExA to SetupDiGetClassDevsExW This patch depends of patch 1 Patch 3/6 Add in-memory structures needed to implement SetupDiGetClassDevsExW in a following patch. Basically, we have one list container (structure DeviceInfoSet) which will contain multiple devices (structure DeviceInfoElement) in a chained list Patch 4/6 Update SetupDiCreateDeviceInfoList and SetupDiCreateDeviceInfoListA/W to initialize all fields of in-memory structure This patch depends of patch 3 Patch 5/6 Check parameters in SetupDiGetClassDevsExW stub, and create device set if needed. Now, only the real work needs to be done. How do I automate the registering of a DLL

Hi, while I'm working on DllRegisterServer for wintrust, I wanted to make it 'autorun' when running on a clean system (through wineprefixcreate). My thought was to add an entry to the RegisterDllsSection part in tools/wine.inf but that doesn't seem to work. (regsvr32 wintrust.dll does work). What am I missing? Cheers, Paul.

I'm supposing this is a problem with the rpm somehow (rather than wine itself), but that is a wild guess. The previous FC4 wine install (also from a normal FC4 binary rpm) did not have this problem. The app was only barely usable, some little buttons showed no text labels, so all was not totally well before either. David Anderson (I'll also try this app building wine with latest wine source on an AMD athlon 64bit with wine built -m32 to see what happens).

Mark, This patch, like the first one you submitted, is linewrapped (meaning it won't apply cleanly). I'd suggest just attaching the patch to your e-mail, so you don't have to worry about these things. Also, it's always nice to have a conformance test for things like this. Perhaps show that it's the correct behaviour for both EM_EXSETSEL and EM_SETSEL? If you've got any questions on writing one (or just want me to do it for you), just send me an e-mail.
