The if check isn't that correct either. If MAX_COMBINED_SAMPLERS >= 8 + 3 everything's fine too. d3d9 only supports 8 fixed function frag samplers and 3 vertex samplers at max, so even if we can't use all GL samplers together, we're still fine if we have 11 samplers available for the purpose of this test. This should silence the frag=16, vertex=16, total=16 complaint on d3d10 cards Am Samstag, 14. Wine+Java+Nvidia crashes

I'm running a Java app built for Windows (therefore needs Wine), and on a machine with Nvidia graphics it crashes when it tries to draw the main window. The exact same application and OS configuration on a different machine with Intel graphics works fine. It crashes in wined3d, although the application is only drawing plain windows and dialogs - it looks like Java awt always calls d3d9 which call wined3d :(. Relevant console output from wine is shown below, plus the stack from the app's error log. OS is Ubuntu 8.10, Wine ver. 1.1.16 on both machines. On the faiing machine the graphics is Nvidia GPU 5200 series, screen size 1280x1024. I have tried both with the accelerated Nvidia driver v.173, and with the standard Linux driver, it makes no difference. The machine that works is an Asus Eee 901 netbook, Intel graphics on 1024x600 screen. Both machines have 2GB RAM. Wine on Windows - wiki notes

Wine on Windows is an idea of real-world usefulness, as newer versions of Microsoft Windows increasingly fail to support apps Wine still supports. I've started a wiki page: http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOnWindows This covers my experiments with the three main POSIX layers (Cygwin, MinGW and Interix) on XPsp3. Various people have told me they've got it to work before (native compilation and install on Windows), but I seem to be the one gathering data :-) If anyone who's done it could please (a) put there what they did with what versions of Wine and tools (b) check with current Wine, that would be most appreciated. - d.

Crashes on Win9x and NT4 in rpcrt4/tests/ndr_marshall

Hi, As the authors of these tests, I'd thought to write directly to you. This rpcrt4 stuff is way over my head. The attached patch shows where Win95, Win98 and NT4 crash. The crash in test_ndr_allocate() actually happens at the assignment "mem_list_v2 = StubMsg.pMemoryList;". Any idea(s). Disabling File attachments on Wiki

Please disable file attachments on Wiki. There are no way to verify their validity and for the past week it's been a constant source of spam. IMHO file attachment does not belong on text only Wiki. If anyone needs to attach a patch a two - they can link it to the one in ML archives or even bugzilla. Vitaliy.
