[rfc] realtime priority patch based on rtkit

Hi all, I decided to dig through the sample documentation for rtkit and see if I could find a way to make it work for wine. There's still a few things missing: hardcoded libdbus soname, no checking if dbus is available, -I/usr/include/dbus-1.0 -I/usr/lib/dbus-1.0/include should be added to ntdll/Makefile and SIGXCPU should demote all threads of the application back to normal priority The server queues an APC to the target thread that signals it should try to acquire rt prio for it. the thread makes a request to rtkit over dbus to say it wants realtime. This is because rtkit requires the affected process to call dbus. Any moral objections to this approach? Cheers, Maarten

I would be fine with calling this wine 2.0, since it adds a major new feature (64 bit compatibility).

I'm pretty sure that when 64-bit Wine support does come to Mac OS X, people are going to want to build it universal (i.e. 32-bit and 64-bit binaries in the same file); I know I do. Chip

ICM tests and top-down DIB

Hi, any suggestions about how could one reasonably test the ICM codecs? I found no test at all in Wine (but the 4 Austin and I once wrote). I was considering adding the ability to deal with a negative biHeight values (native amstream seems to use this to work around bug #17893) but I feel uncomfortable at touching the always sensitive graphics area without good tests to start with. Upside-down support in the codecs could start a landslide in other places. Negative biHeight indicates top-down bitmaps, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd183376.aspx Grepping through dlls/* revealed only few places that deal with them.
