I am trying to extend functionality of the MSVCRTD_operator_new_dbg(), so did #include "msvcrt/crtdbg.h" in the file dlls/msvcrtd/debug.c . Is that OK? I have found some differences in used parameter types of some functions, like: int <-> long int. void (*) <-> void (__cdecl *_CRT_DUMP_CLIENT) (void *, size_t) Then I see all the declared function are defined to be non-operational: | #endif /* _DEBUG */ | | #define _CrtCheckMemory() ((int)1) | #define _CrtDbgReport(...) Altiagent systray problem

Altiagent from Altigen (control-panel for "real" IP-telephones) is now working mostly like I'd expect it to work, except when I minimize the window. It disappears from the taskbar and is supposed to have an icon in the systray, but the systray is empty so I cannot retrieve the window again. Also the systray is in a separate window, not attached to gnome's applet bar. Is this how it should be? pointer to __cdecl function

GetOpenFileName and typing directory names into the edit box

About a month and a half ago the following change was committed to CVS: r20659 (orig r20659): troy | 2005-06-06 09:20:44 +1000 Huw Davies <huw(a)codeweavers.com> If a folder is selected on Open then browse into it, otherwise we should return the path in the edit box whether that be a folder or a file. Don't add extensions to a folder. One of the effects of this appears to be that when browsing for a file, you can no longer type in the name of an existing directory and be taken straight to that directory. Since Windows allows this, this seems to be somewhat less than desirable. Additionally it seems a lot of the code for FILEDLG95_OnOpen makes direct calls to the API in cases where the IShellFolder interface could provide the same information. It seems to me that the IShellFolder interfaces should be preferred in such situations because the IShellFolder object is best positioned to know how to process a path given the current context. For instance, if we are browsing the Unix heirarchy then the UNIXFS implementation of IShellFolder might want to allow the user to enter UNIX directory paths (and probably *should*, since that's the type of path we are effectively presenting to the user).

I've installed MS SFU successfully. I can now use gcc under wine on Linux to compile source for Linux under wine on Linux ... ;) A bit bizarre, and a decidedly roundabout way of doing things, but what's a challenge for? I had a go at installing the x-window-system-on-MS-Windows package shown but it halted with these error messages: [wparish(a)localhost sfu+X]$ wine x-win612LX.exe fixme:win:SetWindowTextA cannot set text "InstallShield Wizard" of other process window (nil) fixme:dialog:MSGBOX_OnInit task modal msgbox ! Not modal yet. fixme:dialog:MSGBOX_OnInit task modal msgbox ! Not modal yet. fixme:shell:SHELL32_DllCanUnloadNow (void): stub [wparish(a)localhost sfu+X]$ So at the moment I can't run X under wine on Linux just for the fun of it and the delight of saying I can ... ;( Anyone got any ideas? file locking

I've been playing around with file locking and Wine, namely the fact that Wine doesn't have any. Is there any way around this, maybe placing the burden on a filesystem? If I wanted to share files between two different users (say with something dumb like file permissions 666), is there any way to prevent the two people from stomping on each other? -Brian

Failed to find a suitable visual
