Hallo, wine/tools/wrc/y.tab.c countains: WCHAR *wptr; /* Remove escaped backslash and convert to forward */ for(wptr = str->str.wstr; (wptr = strchrW(wptr, '\\')) != NULL; wptr++) if(wptr[1] == '\\') { memmove(wptr, wptr+1, strlenW(wptr)); str->size--; } I am quite sure that strlenW returns the number of characters in the string and so it needs to be multiplied by sizeof(WCHAR). Can anybody confirm? Hi! I try to play some DX game. It's started but mouse not work with this message: err:dinput:SysMouseAImpl_Unacquire Unacquiring a not-acquired device !!! I try to play with DXGrab, Managed, Desktop parameters but nothing help. Also I try to run games in Windowed and Fullscreen modes with the same result. May be you can give some advice for workaround. I try to look in dlls/dinput/mouse/main.c but can't understand it. Thanx and sorry for my English.

Relay Debugging NTDLL/Kernel32

Hallo, current reordering of the wine initialisation process has made relay traces for ntdll and kernel vanish. What are chances and priority to bring that feature back? An what are chances to keep the --debugmsg option on the commandline with the nescessary changes? Bug handling mouse in x11drv

Hello, Does anyone know why "update_key_state" is called in the mouse related functions: GetCursorPos, SetCursorPos, ButtonPress, ButtonRelease, MotionNotify and EnterNotify?? In gnome (+metacity), i use the key shift+left or shift+right to change of desktop. Is the use of dumpbin /EXPORTS a sutable way to get information? Would e.g. doing this then using that to generate e.g. an import library be legally ok or not?

Actually I was expecting the question why not use the definition in freetype.h that comes with libfreetype? Or better use the ready-to-be-used tags FT_ENCODING_MS_SYMBOL, FT_ENCODING_UNICODE and FT_ENCODING_APPLE_ROMAN. Makes it easier to read with the libfreetype's documentation as well. RPM for Red Hat - Wine Startup problem for multiple users

Hi good folks! I'd like to offer to provide some testing and/or debug feedback on this one because it seems several users have experienced the same problem getting Wine to start, and it appears not to be application specific. Previous use of Wine has been fine, and I just tried 20031016 using the RPMs for RH8, running i686. I get the same problem whether I upgraded, or cleared everything out first and installed from scratch. Doesn't matter what application I try - even notepad, for example, all stop with the following error, seemingly before Wine has really got going... wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger... Now, I assume there's some more debugging info I could offer you guys, but you'll need to ask me the question coz I'm not sure what you want to know. Why am I writing here? Well, it seemed more appropriate than the wine-users list where this got discussed a bit, and it seems likely that it's going to be a fixable problem because several users have seen it - and it appears to occur early during start-up regardless of application being launched, so from my experience of programming it seems it stands the chance of being a more readily fixable glitch in common code than some hard-to-track down obscure interaction with application-specific libraries. Oh, and I need a pointer to what questions need answering to be helpful and I'd like to be able to give better debug/testing feedback to help the project along a little bit as much as I can. " -- Wine configuration tool: Mike Hearn is working on it these days" I am aware Ivan Leo Murray-Smith has WineSetupTk on sourceforge but the config that mike is working on is/will be integrated into wine correct? Regression - loader problem? (Alexander?)

Hi, I've finally tracked down a problem which has halted 3DMark progress for about 2 weeks to a patch in the loader: http://www.winehq.org/hypermail/wine-cvs/2003/10/0016.html The symptoms are that 3dmark2001se traps very early on, just after a splash screen. I tried debugging it without success, so perhaps a question for Alexander, but any thoughts? Jason
