There's no such thing as a default version ;-) Wine figures it out from the DLLs the program uses if no version is forced. Hmm, come to think of it: Unless we actually pass all wine cmdline parameters (--winver, --managed etc.) on to the wine child process (not sure about that right now, I think we do), the new process won't use the same forced winver value as the parent process uses. Is this a problem ? Should this info be passed to the wineserver to globalize it ? Oh, BTW: I'll rename defaultWinVersion to cmdlineWinVersion. Performing 'make install' as root to install binaries, enter root password Password: /bin/bash: - : unrecognized option Either you entered an incorrect password or we failed to run 'make install' correctly. If you didn't enter an incorrect password then please report this error to wine-devel(a)winehq.com. Installation failed, aborting. ###### My box is linux 2.4.18 with slack-current updated. The command was winedump spec dllname.dll -I/dit/to/headers -c -t -D and it was shown to me by Ove Kaaven. I just forwarded it to you. [Patch tested] TB_REPLACEBITMAP

I just tested Marco Bizzarri's implementation of TB_REPLACEBITMAP ( http://www.winehq.com/hypermail/wine-patches/2001/11/0112.html ). It looks like this patch was neither rejected nor accepted at that time. The patch applies cleanly to sources from wine-cvs-unstripped-042902. I can't tell whether it is technically adequate, but at least it significantly improves wine support for Checkpoint's Firewall-1 GUI (FWPolicy.exe), which might be of interest to many people ( see http://bugs.codeweavers.com/show_bug.cgi?id=185 ). -- Pascal

What application are you using that needs snmpapi.dll ? aol7 uses it. how did you generate this stub dll? warning while compiling with gcc3

Hi! I have run into a warning, when compiling with gcc 3.1 (I dont know if it is reported or not with 2.x gccs). And I think the warning is right. I dont think that the initializer of nil is right. It initializes an zero (0) character length WCHAR array to a one character lenght array. Or I just does not understand something?
