File names and Wine.

Hi,
I was looking at th wine source and I couldn't find any support to long file
names under wine (yet).
I was reading the DOSFS part and there is a lot of code that handles 8.3
file names,
but wine support long file names. Can anyone show me where is it? or long
names
depend on Linux?
