Lately, when I search for win32 API functions like CoGetObject, the top few hits I get at microsoft.com are the .net ones. I guess it's not a problem, but it feels weird.

Calling everything with a new name is an easy way to get people to think you've got something new, when you haven't. They could call them "the .net win32 API" and some people may actually think it's new stuff. Ivan.
