strange menu behaviour

Hi,

I am observing a strange menu behaviour.

How to reproduce:

- start notepad
- move the mouse over "Search", do not click
- press alt-f to get the file menu

=> the file menu flickers open, but suddenly switches
   to the search menu.

It seems the menu code checks the mouse pointer even
though it is not used for the menu activation.
