porting a keyboard driver

Hi all,
   
  I would liketo know is it possible to port a 
Malayalam(An Indian Language) keyboard driver written for
Windows to Linux  using any softwares(emulators). The
keyboard driver application could be called using
wine. It's running & is found be working partially in
the wordpad application called using wine. Is it
possible to make it work in Linux editors. Do anybody
have any idea.
