Request for comments on listview patch which was rejected.

Hello Devs.

I sent in this listview patch some while ago,
but it was silently rejected (like most of my patches :-)).

Before i re-send it, could someone take a peak at it and tell me what is
wrong?

It looks quite sober to me...
