I made sure an output device is selected but for all devices but the null device I get the elsewhere mentioned error message: "Unrecoverable playback error: Unknown error code (0x80070057)" I am using arch linux on a 64bit system with OSS as my output. Sound does work in winecfg when pressing the Test button.
