The default hand loads normally, but after clicking on menus it becomes a white
box. The mouse is still usable and you can click like normal. The cursor does
come back after a while, usually after loading a game.

Any information anyone needs for this, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm not
sure if running it in the terminal would help, it really isn't a crash.

Did this just start happening recently, or has it always been the case? Can you
attach your xorg.conf ?

Can you try explicitly specifying the SWCursor option for the fglrx driver
config?

Option      "SWCursor" "on"

Try with both the setting on and off and see if it makes a difference.

if it is not in there already do I have to create it under my GPU section?

Yes, put it in there, restart X, and try the game again. Maybe switching it on
or off will solve the problem. I suspect this may be a driver issue.

I broke down and re-installed XP for all my games, my graphics card does not
run any of my games the way I want under WINE.
