Confirmed.  I can reproduce this with the trial.

When you start the trial, you are given a choice of
two versions, pro and regular.  
If you pick "regular", the app is fairly stable.
But if you instead pick "pro",
doing "File / New / Flash document" reliably hangs the app.
(Don't turn off the start page, since then it tries
to reopen what you had before, and runs right into the bug.)
