Hello Mark,

your Wine version is too old.
Upgrade to Wine 1.6 (stable) or 1.7 (developer).

Installation of Python 3.3.x works fine for me here with Wine 1.7.x in clean
32-bit WINEPREFIX (Wine 1.6 should work too).
