This error from Portal 2 looks like a more isolated case of the swath of errors I got trying to play Civilization 5's demo. It may be related to whitespace/comments that the AMD/ATI GLSL compiler isn't tolerating; but I'd like to collect more data that may be useful for the developers to isolate the problem in greater detail. fixme:d3d_shader:print_glsl_info_log Error received from GLSL shader #5: fixme:d3d_shader:print_glsl_info_log Vertex shader(s) linked, fragment shader(s) linked. IMO this is a critical bug because there are console tools with stdout output only (e.g. tr). I exited it normally in the Windows version and then resaved, but the game now crashes when loading that save. Attached is a save created in the Windows Steam version (unpack to ~/BioWare/Dragon Age/Characters/). In short, i installed the BWP (a collection of mods - some of which edit the exe and data files) in a windows virtual machine - this machine can't run the game though.
