After the credentials are entered, for an Adobe account and a subscription, a message is displayed: "You need to install the latest updates to Windows and/or your Adobe apps. Learn more Captcha validation has failed" There is no visible CAPTCHA anywhere in the logon window. As effect, the authentication fails and there is no possibility to continue. Internet Explorer can't be installed either, so the process is stuck here. I could not manage to install Internet Explorer, regardless the package used. I have Windows 10, up to date (21H1 right now) and I have installed Photoshop CC there and copied the files on my Linux for testing. This is because it is not possible to install Adobe Creative Cloud either, due to missing Internet Explorer 11. After starting Photoshop, the attached popup appears, so no possibility to use Photoshop CC, which is known to work in Wine (seemingly the tested versions of Photoshop CC are cracked somehow to skip this step, but that is illegal and dangerous for being know to bring malware). (see attached log) The log points to the error happening on trying to read with offset 0xC4 at winmm.dll + 0x1b0e0, which I traced to the code line: *lphMix = (HMIXER)WINMM_MakeHWAVE(uDeviceID, TRUE, mmdevice->mixer_count); (specifically mmdevice->mixer_count as mixer_count is on offset +0xC4 Looking at the source and this is the erroneous flow as I understand it: 1. Game calls mixerOpen for the default device mixerOpen (06B77BBC, 0, 0, 0, 0) 2. mixerOpen calls WINMM_InitMMDevices() which in turn generates a map of output devices using WINMM_EnumDevices() 3. To populate the default device WINMM_EnumDevices() compares the pointer to the default device (gotten by IMMDeviceEnumerator_GetDefaultAudioEndpoint()) to the pointer to each device in the device list (gotten by WINMM_InitMMDevice()): if(device == def_dev) (*map)[0] = &(*devices)[n]; for some reason (unstable COM Pointers?) the default device pointer for each method isn't equal for the same underlying default device which results in g_out_map[0] remaining null 4. When mixerOpen tries to get the default device it gets the null pointer and tries to access ->mixer_count, which causes the crash. I then tried to fix it by looking up the ID of the device and comparing this instead of the pointers and that solved the issue, it successfully opened a mixer for the device and the game started with working audio (see attached patch file) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. So it installed WineHQ 11. However the new look is horrible and over magnified using MapSource from Garmin and other software as well. I use MapSource to map speed traps within France. I tried to modify the DPI with winecfg to no avail ... I tried to reverse to the previous 10 version using the 5 packages available for Focal 20.04 to no avail ... In fact you modified heavily the Windows title bar and font so heavily that's horrible. Here is a screenshot from the version 10 working nicely. And a new screenshot with your modifies parameters I cannot reverse, it looks over zoomed. It looks like I can still modify the text size but not at all the graphics. While having restored the packages from version 10 the destroyed level of zoom ... over zoom, is still there.
