I recently build Wine. After building it, I proceeded to test it with notepad. It crashed with a seg fault (see attachment) Then I executed it with gdb (64bit) and got a lot of extra info. I noted error window "Error setting display mode" behind it. Pressing Esc process is terminated. I'm not sure if it ever worked with 9.22. I reverted to 9.20 and SQLyog is still not working. Symptoms: a ps command shows that SQLyog is running, but the window never appears. I tried running the SQLyog installer and experienced the same symptoms. I'll attach console output from both the installer and the execution attempt. I suspect that there were some OS patches between the last time that it worked correctly and the first failure. After bisecting it, found that "winex11: Only update the client window position in sync_client_position." (278ca7f) causes the regression. Installing EGS had no issue. Installing the game had no issue, except that it complained about a failure to install a required add-on. When the message was closed, it proceeded to download and install the game anyway. The add-on it tries to install are KB2921916 and KB3033929, which adds SHA256 support to Windows 7 (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f4a4e72c-85c7-4683-8f4d-4…) I think it's unrelated to this bug. Clicking on the game in the EGS library opens the game launcher. Clicking 'play' in the game launcher closes the open window(s) and launches the game client. There is nothing on screen, but there's a BH3.exe process that rapidly (under 30sec) eats all RAM memory. Then the computer starts crawling while it eats all swap memory (5~10 mins). After it reaches 100% of all memory used, the system kills the game client process and all memory is freed. The EGS launcher comes back on screen (if the CEF webhelper didn't crash in the meantime). My system has 16GB of RAM and 16GB of swap. The game requirements are 4GB minimum - 8GB recommended. I've had a few game consumes all RAM and some swap lately, but they were games with requirement of 16Gb minimum and I thought that Wine dependencies and linux libraries consumption explained that it needed a couple of Gb more. It doesn't explain the current issue, however. It may also be the application that behaves badly, but I've not seen reports of such memory problems on Windows when searching for it. It may be a wine bug.
