Newbie questions: ddraw conformance tests

Hi, I'd like to write some conformance tests for ddraw, and I notice that there aren't any preexisting tests. What is the preferred way of setting up the "tests" subdirectory (makefiles)? Do I just do it by hand? BTW, why aren't there any preexisting patches for ddraw? Would my tests possibly be welcome as patches? -- Sami

In /local/lib/wine there are files "libntdll.def" and "ntdll.dll.so", though. I suspect something went wront with installing Wine, although I didn't get any error messages. I didn't install as root (don't have root access to the machine in question), so I installed with prefix '/local', which usually works fine. Thanks, Ralf

Greetings all ! I have a task ahead of me. I need to write an application that will access a RFID reader. We have a library from the supplier that contains all the functions, and we have it in two forms. A static .lib file and a dll, but both are Win32 libraries. From what I have read, utilising WINE I should be able to load this library along with a WineLib excecutable, and then code the rest of the program in Unix C++. Am I right here ? If so, can anyone help me out with a few lines of example code ? I have read the WineLib users guide, but I cant seem to come right. Any help would be greatly appreciated !! Hi, Thanks to everyone who's helped on this one. Just to let you know this turned out to be end-user silliness by me. Vincent Béron pointed me in the direction of checking installed glibc & RH kernel versions etc. It turns out that I had (twice!) downloaded the completely wrong RPMs. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. === SUMMARY OF TIPS for wine-users list === On my RH8 box I can check exactly what RPMs were installed (as is commonly the case with RH Linux and maybe others using RPMs) by either checking the nightly log of this information: - grep wine /var/log/rpmpkgs ...or by inspecting the current state of my machine (slower but more up-to-date) as follows: - rpm -qa --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch}.rpm\n' | grep wine Of course, these approaches work for checking glibc and other packages too, or use egrep 'wine|glibc' for searching multiples, and so on.
