I'd argue that the correct naming is "AMD64" as Amd created that architecture and named it like that. In this case Intel happens to be AMD64 compatible. I got Water demo working -- whew thats all of my lil demos here (crap gotta get some more...) So heres the deal Water should have worked with wined3d -- but it was crashing on me due to the following... Status of HTML Help

Hey, In light of a recent wine-users' query about wine's help system, I've decided to shed some light on the status of wine's HTML Help implementation. I decided not to send patches till I had the base interfaces fleshed out, and this process is almost complete. As of now you can pass a .chm file to hh.exe which will bring up the help viewer. The toolbar with the Back, Stop, Refresh etc buttons is complete (minus correct icons..I can't draw), and the user can browse through the contents of the help file (the most important part). I still have to implement the navigator pane, but that's really secondary to the browser. I have a working .exe and visual studio project if anyone wants to take a look at it before I start submitting patches; just reply and I'll send it to you. fr-025-final2 doesn't work

With the last two patches I sent fr-025-final2 is working again for me.. There's still one other problem with a tiger print texture appearing in a few of the scenes. The patch to fix this problem is a couple of patches down the line. Updated GLX -> WGL d3d9 patch

--As promised on the a few days ago-- NOTE: you may want to run "fromdos" on these to convert the new line characters Initial window resizing implemented (incorrect but at least does something) Initial vsync choosing (PresentationInterval) implemented Initial swap effects (SwapEffects) implemented Synced with wine HEAD (thats the fun part...) GLX is still supported #define __WIN32_OPENGL__ to use WGL instead of GLX (this is done automatically if either __CYGWIN__ or WIN32 is defined) Makefile.in and Makefile have been modified for cimpiling (under cygwin -- dunno about any other)... needs "/usr/include/w32api" to exist and have "/usr/include/w32api/GL/gl.h", "/usr/include/w32api/GL/glext.h" this has to be done manually now (link to opengl32 instead of using the GLX libs) configure would have to be changed to accomadate this patch... (kind of annoying I think...) As such the Makefile has been included with this patch (for people with Cygwin/MinGW32? to build) (if this patch is too large tell me and I will not post large patches (80KB) ... or instead I will Zip it ... or just email to people interested...) Wierd multi-file "selection" & mouse drag behavior

Trying out both June's and May's release of Wine, I noticed that there is some wierd behavior when selecting multiple files and dragging within an application. It basically makes the ability to select and drag files unusable. In my case, I am using AbsoluteFTP; as you guessed, its an FTP app. If you can imagine, within it, there are two windows that look like the file Explorer on Windows. On the left, is the local machine and the right is the box you've FTPed into. On wine-20041201, I can hold down shift and select >2 files on the remote box. Then using my mouse, drag them to my localbox. On (at least), these last two releases, I select multiple-files, and the moment I try to drag, the multi-select turns into a one file select. Furthermore, the app enters into a state where it thinks I am holding the mouse down dragging the one file around. Minimizing and maximizng the app doesn't work either; in previous versions, when I couldn't drag a file from one window to the other, I'd minimize/ maximize the app (which would "reset" things), and I could drag files once again. Also, on my CodeWright application, I can no longer highlight text by dragging the mouse across code. Any ideas? I'm sure it will ring a bell for someone who may have been working towards improving the mouse dragging capabilities. Thanks! Hiji __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Black Boxes on Apps

Reading tonight through some of the old CXOffice threads, I noticed some people were having issues running apps likes Illustrator because the panel buttons would be black. This is the same thing that happens on ImageReady. I also saw this: http://www.codeweavers.com/site/compatibility/browse/name?app_id=369;issues… The only "apparent" way to fix this is to change your XF86Config file so the screen depth is 16 and not 24. Is there a way around this since (I'm guessing) apps which run fine at 16bit (like Photoshop) do not have this issue. I'm assuming Adobe products carry a lot of the same codebase. Any ideas?
