patch submission

Is there any way to expedite the patch submission process. I submitted a patch to wine-patches quite a while ago for the AppDB TestResulsts.php page as outlined in bug 5155. How long does this take to implement?

I forgot to assign my previousDiskID Last Sequence in the last example, which is the most important part. it should be fairly easy to rewrite the installer to work the correct way and Install the files in the correct order. This should also make it feasable to write the Disk Prompt and have it in the right location as it will traverse the Install media in the correct order. I'm going to work on it this weekend some time, but I'll need help cleaning up my code to make it wine worthy as this will be my first attempt at a patch. Here is some pseudo code, explaining how I think it should work. Let me know if I'm wrong or you have any suggestions. In InstallFiles() it will need to execute step 1 and create the folders as it currently does. Then for step 2 do the following - 1. initialize the DiskId to 1. Initialize the previous diskId-lastSequence to 0. 2. Query the total number or DiskIds from the media table. 3. Hi, i got a bit tired of testing all the samples from DX8 SDK, and www.codesampler.com and more , over and over again, so i'll try to put them all together in one 'automated' suite. Here's first attempt with about 15 samples from DX8 SDK: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=check_download&ufid=6E564CD823… I recompiled the samples so they will run for about 3 secs (one takes a lot more time) Goal is to look for regressions: if samples start crashing i can search the log for unhandled page faults, and if samples throw up messageboxes , the suite will just stop. For visual regressions you'd just have to watch them :(. By hitting escape you can walk through the samples just quickly, if you do nothing it takes about 2 minutes to rush through the samples. I'll add codesamplers dx8 samples next, any additions from others appreciated! (to test just do sh test.sh). Picasa for Linux available!

Google has indeed been working on Picasa, and it's finally available for download at http://labs.google.com/ For the curious, here are a few tidbits about how it came to be. When Google wanted to port Picasa to Linux, they faced a problem: the Picasa team was busy working on new projects, and having them also do a native port would have taken a while. As an experiment, Google decided to give Wine a try. A quick look showed that much of Picasa already worked, but key features were missing: the IWebBrowser API, SSL, scanner/camera support, removable media notification (so you can insert a flash drive and have Windows notice it right away), and change notification (so Windows can notify apps when new files are created), among others. Fortunately, Wine was already halfway to having an implementation of IWebBrowser thanks to Jacek Caban's Summer of Code 2005 project. And all that other stuff couldn't be *that* hard, right? :-) So Google engaged Codeweavers to add those features and fix any other bugs. This resulted in tons of improvements to Wine (see the list at code.google.com/wine.html) all of which are now in the public tree at winehq.org. Many people assume that when porting a Windows app to Linux using Wine, the best thing to do is link Winelib into the application to create a native Linux application. Not so! It's just as effective, and a heck of a lot easier, to run the same binary on both Windows and Wine. So that's what the Picasa team did. bug irony - bug in firefox or xorg

While browsing the bug database I discovered a bug, in which my x server crashes when i use the side horizontal scrollbar in firefox. I was browsing this attachment in firefox http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=2517&action=view Can anyone replicate this bug?, I'm not sure whether to submit this bug to firefox or xorg. It crashes at the same point every time, when I try to use the horizontal scrollbar on this page. I opened firefox in the console and output the text to a file, upon logging back in to x i opened this file and had a message saying firefox lost the x session. I don't know if the bug resides in firefox or X?

Multiple copies of a single message...

Someone long ago asked for a copies of email msgs (from the list) which repeats in a row. Now I've got ~7 of them from Jason Green addressed for wine-devel(a). (2nd of them deleted before I saw the rest) Now, may the masters of email administration look at the attached stuff and find out the reason for this is happening? Please somebody :)
