First all things that have to be done until you could try to start... Installing DirectX from Lost Planet CD: - Nativ fusion.dll - Nativ Msvcr70.dll - Nativ MsCoree.dll After this ones the directx version on CD will install! Game: WMVCore.dll -> is located in the Lost Planet Folder in the steam folder! -> Installed Windows Media Player 9 and copied the wmvcore.dll from there to the LP folder and overwritten the 24 KB file with 2 MB file! - Nativ Quartz - Nativ devenum - Nativ wmvcore - Nativ mscat32 And now i got far away from old crash point, but got a nice crash dump/console output! Maybe it's usefull for anyone... Ah, before i forget about it: tried to start the dx9 version of game! I haven't tried MIDI output yet, but even a single track pops considerably with the Realistic Sound Engine, with the interface lagging considerably and even freezing when loading the demo track. It is possible to "paste" a clipboard, but it is not possible co "Cut/Copy" - so maybe Wine does not allow to recognize the marked block as a text one. The program does not recognize UNICODE, so works in ASCII. The description of the program in Russian is at http://soft.softodrom.ru/ap/p4726.shtml (however, the version I attach has an English localization).
