First, it downloads gecko, but hangs afterwards; you have to ^C and restart the installer. Second, dialogs are often painted with three-quarters of the content missing, and the remaining quarter misplaced. Moving the dialog offscreen and back on usually fixes this. So this is both a showtopper for the average user and a cosmetic problem. Third, the very first dialog that is shown is mostly blank. Jacek knows why: our gecko engine is out of date, and can't handle negative values on some css properties. He came up with a simple workaround: when this happens, kill the installer (with wineserver -k), then edit .wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Installers/d6da2ba33e237f559e70b443726029b/resources/media/css/main.css and replace the line z-index:-10; with the line z-index:0; That's easy to do by cd'ing into .wine and applying the attached patch with "patch -p0". After that, the installer runs successfully to completion. Installation worked, but the program wouldn't start. Now with 0.9.46, the program still fails to start but with another error message. I've included a trace as an attachement. I've also included a screenshot of the error message that pops up. Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 working good, but now is here this problem: When i need delete some midi-event from Track, i must open list editor - View/Event List. This Event List is a new small window. In this window i can see all midi-events in a Track. Here (in List Editor) i can move with cursor over cells and insert/modify/delete midi-events. When i insert/modify midi-event, all working ok. When i need delete some midi-event program working not normal. Normally i push Delete and midi-event is out of list. Now after delete action midi-event is out of list, but cursor self-acting skip to next cell and opening this next cell to edit mode (quasi enter key depression). This bug is in wine version: 1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.1.5, 1.1.6, 1.1.7 Older wine verions like 0.9.60 are without this bug and working normal. When i start the game with "wine S4.exe" i can see the videos but then i only get an orangebrown window. I can't see any game items. No problems with communication via RS-232 in wine, but a problem with GUI-interface in the most useful program. After a communication with device BIO-WS program should draw a graph (no line on graph) and prompt for a sample (no message box) - not usable in lab practice.
