This means that the localization in En.rc is *only* selected in an en_US locale, *not* in, say, an en_GB locale (unless no other fallback is found). It would probably better if these files said LANGUAGE LANG_ENGLISH, SUBLANG_NEUTRAL so that if the user has a British English user locale (from LC_MESSAGES) and a French system locale, winecfg will show up in English, not fall back to French. Now when opening TagEditor, it is prompting Workbench but not seeing it (Workbench is opening although TagEditor says it can't open it). Showing in the log. err:ole:apartment_getclassobject DllGetClassObject returned error 0x80040111 err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {b196b286-bab4-101a-b69c-00aa00341d07} could be created for context 0x80000001 err:ole:marshal_object couldn't get IPSFactory buffer for interface {b196b284-bab4-101a-b69c-00aa00341d07} err:rpc:I_RpcReceive we got fault packet with status 0x80004002 err:ole:ClientIdentity_QueryMultipleInterfaces IRemUnknown_RemQueryInterface failed with error 0x80004002 Now imagine you try to open a file with TagEditor. Requesting to use these translations in /dlls/shell32/shell32_Lt.rc : IDS_APPDATA "Application Data" IDS_LOCAL_APPDATA "Local Settings\\Application Data" IDS_INTERNET_CACHE "Local Settings\\Temporary Internet Files" IDS_COOKIES "Cookies" IDS_HISTORY "Local Settings\\History" IDS_PROGRAM_FILES "Program Files" IDS_PROGRAM_FILES_COMMON "Program Files\\Common Files" I can attach a patch if you like.
