It doesn't seem to be needed in all setups, specifically not for Wine 1.7.13+ users with NVIDIA proprietary drivers, but if you see a blank screen or graphics corruption, try overriding the following libraries, either manually or through Winetricks: d3dx9_43 -> (native, builtin) d3dcompiler_43 -> (native, builtin) Steam should install the DirectX and Visual C++ redistributable packages automatically, but if for some reason they are missing, That is in the Steam application, it does not have to be copied, or pirated, that I will not allow.
