Note that a (free) Adobe account is required to start the trial and there are reports of winetricks corefonts also being necessary. Manually created $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/system32/catroot to work around bug #44944. Started the installer in trial mode and the installer failed during the install operation. So I install WMI, which changes the version to XP. So I changed the version back with winetricks winver=. Then I used winetricks to force mono. The installation went fine through the installation of net 4.5.2, but then hung up with this message: (in pop-up box) Windows management instrumentation service is disable or missing. Some practical examples described below. Bug example 1: If you right click to get a popup settings window in the program, the window is black until you move your cursor on it. Cursor movement makes features such as texts inside the popup window rendered correctly (though the popup window borders still stay black). This is repeatable every time. Bug example 2: If you shrink the main application window (do not minimize it to the toolbar) and then maximize it again, some features which were previously rendered correctly, are now either unrendered (black areas) or rendered in a wrong way. Bug example 3: Wrong GUI rendering leads also to partially or completely disabled functionality in Premiere Pro, such as: Video & audio tracks are not rendered correctly in the timeline sequence. Wine's function 'TRACKBAR_SetRangeMin', at line 1288 of file https://github.com/wine-mirror/wine/blob/master/dlls/comctl32/trackbar.c force sets the Wine 'lPageSize' value ( infoPtr->lPageSize = (infoPtr->lRangeMax - infoPtr->lRangeMin) / 5;). So when TBM_SETRANGE message is sent after a TBM_SETPAGESIZE message, the TBM_SETPAGESIZE parameter is reset. This is not the Windows behavior. A quick fix is to ensure in Windows one always calls TBM_SETPAGESIZE parameter after TBM_SETRANGE.
