I run "winecfg" set the windows version to "Windows vista". then I need run this software in my ubuntu: http://www.51nwt.com/download.htm http://imoup.lieqikankan.com/update/nwt_setup_3.4.3044.exe It's a IM software in windows, but I found iptux can't compatible with it. so I run "wine nwt_setup_3.4.3044.exe" to install it, then I changed font to simsun.ttf to resovle garbled. In UFO:ET the mouse pointer is visible at first, but it disappears when the mouse hits the right or bottom edge of the screen. If I revert commit 8fa5f1d8c6e2c0e0bb408de0b341b946984825c1, then the problem goes away in UFO:ET, but bug #45874 is reintroduced in Secret Files 1 and 2. Disabling GLSL doesn't help. Reproduced with nouveau/mesa 18.3.1 and with Nvidia binary drivers 415.22.05. The demo of Secret Files 2 can be used to reproduce the problem. The game needs native d3dx9_30.dll. Before launching the game, run ConfigTool.exe, select anti-aliasing level and disable 'Software cursor'. I believe it has to do with the simulated bold font update, since it was not present in Wine 1.7.3. This bug is not severe, but 'l's look like capital 'I's and overall, it's either unreadable or ugly to look at. I believe that the bug is caused by one of the following, but I have absolutely no evidence to support it. Akihiro Sagawa (3): gdi32/tests: Add tests for fake bold outline fonts. gdi32: Adjust fake bold outline font metrics. gdi32: Synthesize bold glyphs for outline fonts. This bug does not adversely affect the software, but makes reverting to 1.7.3 appealing. Installed wine 1.7.17 on Ubuntu 12.04 (32 bit). Clean install with previous .wine directory removed. "wine notepad" worked and displayed the expected wine version. During the installation I couldn't read the "I accept" and "Cancel" text in the text boxes. "I accept" is left hand most text box. "Cancel" is right hand text box.
