The main action of the Ribbon menu button (upper half) still works, but after clicking the lower half of the element to open the submenu, the submenu items don't respond to mouseclicks. The log shows Vertex shader compilation failed: :19:1: Warning: Newline in string constant encounterd (started line 18) native d3dx9_36 works around the problem. Digging into it a bit, I see that the game uses shader assembly, and one of the lines of source is def c96, -1, 1, 1, 1 ; somewhere I've got a bug. flipping the vectors with this fixes it.
