If I expand a tree node to display the next level of child tree nodes with a press on the plus-sign and collapse the child tree node level with the minus-sign after that. The plus-sign disappears and I am not able to expand the tree node again. I have to restart the whole application to be able to expand the tree node again. Wine winhlp32 does not support that feature. For example, download the Age of Empires trial version from http://www.microsoft.com/games/empires/downloads.htm direct download URL is http://download.microsoft.com/download/aoe/Trial/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/MSAoE.exe Either run MSAoE.exe to install the demo, or use cabextract to unpack the files inside. Run winhlp32.exe from Windows under Wine and load Empires.hlp. Notice the window has no menu strip and cannot be resized. (I tested winhlp32.exe from Windows 98 and XP.) Run Wine winhlp32.exe and load Empires.hlp. (The window contents are completely messed up and unusable, but that's not what this bug covers.) It's a (buggy) loop that attempts a binary search for the largest size it can successfully pass to VirtualAlloc. Sadly I don't know how to run it with Wine alone since it's a game on Steam and is, therefore, configured to run with Proton. All steps below are based on Proton Experimental. How to reproduce: 1. Copy that character above. 2. Open Path of Exile with any Proton version that can run the game. 3. Log in with any character. 3a. Create one in any league if you don't have one. 4. Open chat (Enter key). 5. Paste character into chat. 6. Game crashes. However, modify this line `VsOut output = { float4(position, 0.0, 1.0) };` to `const VsOut output = { float4(position, 0.0, 1.0) };`, then compile the Rust program then run it using wine again, the red triangle will not show. Or, if that line is left as is but you add another const variable, like this: ```hlsl VsOut vs_main(uint vid : SV_VertexID) { float2 position = VERTICES[min(vid, 2u)]; VsOut output = { float4(position, 0.0, 1.0) }; const VsOut output1 = output; return output1; } ``` The red triangle is also not able to display. This is originally reported as a wgpu issue here: https://github.com/gfx-rs/wgpu/issues/9056. At that time, only proton has this issue (wine is okay). However now with wine 11.6 I tested it again, wine has this issue either. So I suspect this is an upstream vkd3d hlsl compiler issue then?
