http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58731 LingM <lingm+winebz@posteo.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |lingm+winebz@posteo.org --- Comment #17 from LingM <lingm+winebz@posteo.org> --- Someone who knows what they are doing had this to say about dgVoodoo2 on Wine:
it is stealthy wine detection in relatively recent dgvoodo2 versions which will search ntdll for various wine exports comparing hashed names from export table (avoiding LdrGetProcedureAddress calls) and if found adding a bogus offset to some d3d12 related pointer so it crashes much later in an “innocent” way like just smth doesn’t work right
Not sure if they want their name here, so I'm leaving that out. Since Wine - to my knowledge - doesn't attempt to work around any deliberate Wine detection, that should make this bug a WONTFIX, right? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
