In a 32-bit wineprefix: 1. winetricks -q mspatcha 2. wine AcroRdrDC2001320064_en_US.exe /sPB /l 3. wine 'c:\program files\adobe\acrobat reader dc\reader\acrord32.exe' Workaround thanks to Alex in Bug 59977: wine reg add "HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\Privileged" /v bProtectedMode /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f Note that this sometimes works fine without a workaround. No idea why.
