Installed IE8 via winetricks (winetricks ie8). Started iexplore.exe. Navigated to www.google.com, which gave the following message: Update your browser Your browser isn't supported any more. To continue your search, upgrade to a recent version. Learn more It seems that workaround given in comment 3, does not work anymore. At least on my setup. I tried www.winehq.org, but this did not work either. Page did not load, and there was an indication of a syntax error on page. Tested site www.duckduckgo.com, but this did not work. Test 2 / wine's built-in iexplore: Created a new 32-bit prefix configured as Windows 10. Started iexplore.exe. I successfully reached Google and was able to enter a search term. However, the search results were never shown. Instead, I got this message If you're having trouble accessing Google Search, please click here, or send feedback. I tried www.winehq.org, but this did not work either. I received the following error: The page cannot be loaded because of an error Error code: HTTP 403 Tested site www.duckduckgo.com and it worked perfectly.
