http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60545 Bug ID: 60545 Summary: Zeus: Master of Olympus reports a system-thread access violation on exit Product: Wine Version: 11.20 Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://archive.org/download/ZeusMasterOfOlympusDemo/z eusdemo.exe OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, regression Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: ntdll Assignee: wine-bugs@list.winehq.org Reporter: gyebro69@gmail.com CC: julliard@winehq.org Target Milestone: --- Regression SHA1: 1cae1f531bf5762c6009cd06975075328609c2f9 Distribution: --- Created attachment 82410 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=82410 WINEDEBUG=-all,+timestamp,+pid,+seh,+virtual,+mem_areas log Zeus: Master of Olympus triggers an access violation when exiting through the main menu in Wine 11.20. This does not occur with Wine 11.19. The game window closes without displaying a Wine crash dialog, but the following error appears in the terminal:
err:seh:send_debug_event Exception c0000005 in system thread at 0x74c0860a2bdc
I have reproduced this with both the GOG release and the freely available demo, using both new WoW64 and legacy shared WoW64 builds. To reproduce: 1. Install the GOG release or the demo. 2. Start the game and wait for the main menu. 3. Click Quit. 4. Observe the system-thread access violation in the terminal. The game starts and reaches the main menu normally. I have not observed any gameplay problems during brief testing, but I have not tested extended gameplay. Entering a game is not necessary to reproduce the exit failure. Git bisect identified the first bad commit as: commit 1cae1f531bf5762c6009cd06975075328609c2f9 ntdll: Merge the reserved areas and free ranges arrays. The commit reverts cleanly, and reverting it fixes the exit failure. Possibly related: bug #60534 Demo installation note: The demo installation can take a long time to start and may print a Win16Mutex timeout warning, but it eventually installs successfully. zeusdemo.exe (47 MiB) md5sum: a985758764ff875c388bf45866669a0d -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
